This idea has been with me since early 2010s when I lived in London. I recall walking past event posters and having no clue who any of the mentioned artists were, despite my long-term keen interest in music. So I thought of a solution - a playlist-first music discovery site for local music. Inspired by then-popular music projects such as 22Tracks, I tried to design and build the experience, but failed at execution. The idea has been dormant for over 10 years since then, and only came back to my attention again with the rise of the incredible power of AI tools.
